Scholarly Communication 101

Welcome to the inaugural blog post for Scholarly Communication in Raiderland. This blog covers topics in scholarly communication. For those who are not familiar, scholarly communication has many definitions and interpretations but typically means: the process of academics, scholars and researchers sharing and publishing their research findings so that they are available to the wider academic community and beyond.

It includes things scholars are already doing or may want to do, as we see the models and tools for research and publishing evolve. Many libraries like Texas Tech University Libraries have dedicated services and personnel to support new Scholarly Communication practices on campus. Some are new and others have long been established.

For more information about the Office of Scholarly Communication at Texas Tech visit the library website or check out these research guides.
